This is only the third time we have had this amazing Pucci print, but this is the first time that we have seen it in this gorgeous muted periwinkle shade of blue that's like a dream walking! The other colors are ivory and the subtle black outlines.
This is a great choice for a girl who wants a more subdued, laid-back Pucci . . . a girl who has always wanted to own one, but can't pull off one of the swirling, vibrant ones that made Pucci so famous . . . this botanical print is both delicate and intricate, with a vibe of early Pucci at his most painterly--think of his early scarves.
The clingy, sumptuous silk jersey is all unlined, except for the double fabric at the waist panel. . . it drapes and falls so beautifully . . . the back is left bare . . . metal back zipper . . . the fabric is signed throughout with little Emilios . . .
**Missing its label--darn--however, women did sometimes snip out their labels back in the day! Of course we think it's crazy now, but it was a more innocent time. There is a very pale yellow, dime-sized mark on the back of the skirt, just below the waist band. It is hardly noticeable, but we need to mention it. It's truly no biggie; the dress appears mint in all other aspects, it appears a if never worn.**
